SwiftKey 4 for Android launched into the wild for smartphones, tablets

The SwiftKey 4 Android application has been launched into the Play Store and it can be picked up for $1.99 which is a promotional offer according to the company. The latest release is said to deliver a hassle-free typing experience with accurate word predictions, autocorrect capabilities and gesture input which requires simple swipes across the keyword.

The developer also goes on to say that SwiftKey 4 has ‘mind-reading capabilities’ owing to the personalized autocorrect engine which was introduced in the Flow version last October. The moment users begin inserting text, the app will automatically start to produce predictions and it is even capable of delivering the next possible word once they’ve stopped. For those who tend to forget about hitting the space button, the tool now comes with the Flow Through Space feature. As its name suggests, words can be inserted continuously as a sentence without the need of gaps in between as the app will do the needful.

With the latest release, the company has increased the supported language count with 6 new additions such as Albanian, Bosnian, Javanese, Sundanese, Thai and Vietnamese. Word predictions and auto-corrections are supported by these scripts as well. To top it all off, the keyboard should be able to deliver more accurate alterations and next words by learning as well as adapting to how users type. With the introduction of fresh themes, owners can customize the interface to a color scheme of their choice. There are currently 8 options provided which include the Android-styled Holo layout. To get a brief idea on what’s new in the latest version, we’ve embedded a video showing off the application below.

A post on the company’s official blog denotes that existing users will receive the SwiftKey 4 for Android application as an update absolutely free. The app can be downloaded through the Google Play store and Amazon Appstore for smartphones and tablets. Once the promotional offer is over, the keyboard add-on will be on sale at the regular price of $3.99. Additionally, a trial version is also being offered for those who prefer giving the features a test run before shelling out cash.
