Those eyeing the HTC One ever since its rumors and eventually, its launch date details had been spilled out, could be delighted to know that the Taiwanese company is offering $100 in credit on purchase of its flagship. But as every good thing, this news too comes with a catch.
On buying the HTC One, users cannot exactly expect cash in return. Instead, the Taiwanese conglomerate plans to proffer a prepaid Visa Card worth $100. What’s more, people will now be able to lay claim over the smartphone by handing over an old handset and receiving its trade-in value in return.
These offers however cannot be clubbed and buyers can look forward to receiving either the prepaid Visa card or their phone’s trade-in worth, whichever is greater. The procedure is as simple as it gets. All customers have to do is, submit their email id to the product’s upgrade site before March 12. Following this, they have to activate the newly bought device prior to March 31.
And lastly, their used smartphone along with a purchase proof of the handset in question has to be mailed to the company. Once the entire procedure has been carried out, customers will be presented with the deserved credit after approximately six to eight weeks. According to a post on CNET, the program is being promoted and backed by Clover Wireless.
The newly revelead handset will be seen lugging a 4.7-inch full HD capacitive touchscreen display showing off the Sense UI. It will wrap a 1.7GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a 2,300mAh Li-polymer battery under the hood and start shipping in 32GB and 64GB variants.
Seeing as this promotion of the HTC One (formerly known as the M7) will be expiring on March 12, we are compelled to believe that the OEM will release the smartphone around the same time. This could mean that the buzz concerning the device hitting stores by March 8 may crawl under reality status.
