Sun Seeker iPhone App unveiled

Sun Seeker Screenshot One more augmented reality app recently hit the Apple App Store. The innovative app christened Sun Seeker and developed by Dr. Graham Dawson enables users to find out the magnitude of sunlight in a particular room or any other place.

The app seems to be useful for people who are house-hunting. Sun Seeker not only displays the path taken by sun presently but it shows for any day of the year. iPhone users just have to position their device’s camera in any direction. It also enables users to view the range of directions in which the sun will rise and set throughout the year.

The iPhone 3GS incorporates modern location technology such as GPS, accelerometers and digital compasses that has made it possible for augmented reality to reach the masses. The Sun Seeker seems to be useful for landscapers and gardeners, assisting them to figure out the direction where to plant different types of trees, shrubs or flowers, depending upon the plants’ sunlight requirements.

The Sun Seeker app can be purchased for $2.99 and is available from Apple iTunes app store, for the iPhone 3GS models.
