A hero is some one who is multi-talented and well, who saves the day. Here’s introducing the HTC Hero from Sprint. What makes this device a ‘hero’ is its capability to offer a combination of the open and innovative Android platform with the high-speed connectivity from one of the most dependable 3G network from Sprint through EVDO Rev. This device also offers synchronization for built-in Google mobile services. These services include Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, and YouTube as well as access to thousands of applications that have been built on the Android platform.

Some of the already popular Android applications are ShopSavvy, Twitter, Shazam, amazon.com, USA Today, Flixster, PacMan, CraigslistChecker, and MySpace.

The HTC Hero is also the first device to incorporate HTC Sense which has been conceived to put users in the centre. Users also of this device can also create and opt to switch from one scene of their life to another for example from work to social to travel or play.

This ‘hero’ will hit markets from October 11 through all Sprint retail channels such as sprint.com and telesales. This smartphone can also be purchased from bestbuy.com for a price of $179.99 (excluding taxes) after a $50 instant savings and a $100 mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement.
