Sprint enhances access speed with the Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot unleashed for Wi-Fi enabled devices. This enables faster downloads, streaming of videos and browsing at lighting turbo-speed. This technology can be implemented with any device that is Wi-Fi enabled.
It also allows users to surf the web about 10 times faster compared to 3G alongside download tracks in seconds or use devices to make calls via Skype. It not only helps run devices faster but also allows users to connect up to five Wi-fi enabled devices such as computer, game console or camera.
Matt Carter, President of Sprint 4G comments on the speed by saying that, “When coupled with Sprint’s 4G technology, any Wi-Fi-enabled device will be faster than 3G.” He also feels that it will be a long time before any other wireless carrier comes up with such technology.
Sprint 4G right now is present in 28 major markets including Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Portland, Ore., San Antonio and Seattle. In the coming future Sprint aims at providing their services to approximately 120 million people. Sprint plans to soon launch the services in Boston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and St. Louis.
