Spotify has been earlier seen with several handset manufacturers like the iPhone, Android, HTC and Symbian. It has now arrived for the Windows Phone 6. The Spotify blog elucidates that their CEO Daniel and Steve Ballmer of Microsoft enunciated Spotify’s arrival on Windows phones 6.x. The announcement was made in an event conducted at Stockholm’s Royal Institute of Technology.

The application will enable users to browse, search and play millions of songs. Music aficionados using the Windows phones 6 can enjoy their favorite tracks even without an internet connection with offline playlists and check out the latest additions with the ‘What’s New’ tab. Moreover, existing playlists can be streamed over WiFi or 2.5/3G.

Users can access their favorites in a special list with starred tracks. It will wirelessly sync the user’s local files to their handset. Proffering on-the-fly sync, the software will show all the newly added songs on both the computer and handset.

The Spotify app can be downloaded by accessing m.spotify.com from their handsets. Its arrival on the Windows Marketplace has been simply stated as ‘shortly’. The software will also make it to the highly anticipated Windows Phone 7.
