Fujitsu dual screen concept phone with TAT UI

Fujitsu concept phone There have been several times that we have seen dual touchscreen concept phones before. Here’s another one, this time by a Japanese manufacturer known as Fujitsu has come up with an innovative dual screen mobile phone user interface. This handset was crafted using The Astonishing Tribe or TAT’s design and technology advances.

“Enhancing and innovating the user experience is our passion and we have enjoyed working with Fujitsu mobile phone UI engineers on this novel device,” asserted Charlotta Falvin, CEO, TAT. “Our UI technology is built to effectively incorporate new design advancements, and we appreciate greatly to apply it together with an innovative team like the one at Fujitsu”.

“Fujitsu is committed to be in the fore front of mobile phone innovation and with the new dual screen interface,” commented Takeshi Ueno, Director, UI planning director, for the Mobile Phone Group of Fujitsu. “We are delighted that TAT’s UI technology enables the type of new design paradigms to create advanced UI. We are looking forward to other innovative collaborations with TAT to enrich our UI.”

The device leverages on TAT’s user interface advance technology and design. Dual screen handsets need to be integrated with a robust UI framework since the navigation between the two screens needs to be seamless. With a weak UI, the entire experience proffered by a touchscreen will be ruined as movement will be slow and unproductive. Hence according to TAT, Fujitsu chose the company for its user interface.

The Fujitsu concept phone will be displayed at CEATEC 2010 in Tokyo, Japan. The event is currently on and will be open till October 5, 2010. Designed with a very unique style, it’ll be fun to see this dual screen hit the streets.
