Spotify now available for Symbian devices

Spotify Symbian Support Spotify has been providing support for the iPhone and Android powered devices. Expanding its lineup, Spotify now comes to Symbian devices. The music streaming service will now be offered to a variety of mobile phones driven by Symbian Operating System including Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung.

Spotify Mobile is capable of streaming over Wi-Fi or 2.5G/3G to play music through the mobile phone. According to the Spotify Blog, the music streaming application will now support Nokia 6220 Classic, E71 and 5800 XpressMusic models. Apart from Nokia handsets, the application will also support Sony Ericsson and Samsung smartphones including the Samsung GT-I8910 Omnia HD and Sony Ericsson Satio.

The Spotify Premium account allows users to access the offline mode for up to three devices that may store around 3,333 tracks each. Users can enjoy listening to these playlists without switching back online for a maximum of 30 days.

The Spotify mobile service is capable of playing music offline even without a connection. Users can download the application from Spotify Mobile’s official website. However, users need to own a Spotify Premium subscription in order to use it which can be purchased for £9.99 per month.
