Spotify for Android app updated with free radio

Music Streaming App

Claiming to offer a ‘stellar’ musical experience, the Spotify for Android app now offers free radio to non-Premium subscribers in the US. Stations based on the collection of tracks, albums and artists, can be created to listen to radio conveniently while on the move.

There appears to be no constraint whatsoever, which means that the application provides access to unlimited stations and songs. The desired tracks can be saved to Spotify playlists with a single tap, for listening to them later. There is plenty of room for customization as songs can be given a thumbs up or down. This will allow the app to store the concerned user’s preferences and add related songs to the stations regularly.

“Exciting news for Android users! Starting today, you can now enjoy radio on your Android! It’s never been easier to play and save music on the go. A stellar radio experience on your Android is now just a click away. Give it a try for free,” states a post on the official Spotify blog.

Spotify App

Users can opt for Spotify Premium which requires a subscription fee, or listen to songs for free. The current version 0.5.2.87 is compatible with Android 2.1 and higher devices. Music enthusiasts in the US now have another more wholesome option for radio streaming apart from apps like Pandora. Considering that the utility tags along a wide catalog of songs, listeners can expand their stations with new tracks each time.

The Spotify for Android app with radio can be downloaded via Google Play.
