Spice had promised us the Smart Flo Mettle 4X Mi-426 when it released the 5X early this month. Those who’ve been keeping an eye out for it will be pleased to hear that the phone is now available online for Rs 4,299. It has yet to appear on the company’s official website though.
If you see Smart Flo tacked to the name of a Spice device, then be warned that it won’t be able to deal with anything beyond 2G networks. The company reserves the Stellar moniker for its 3G handsets and feature phones go under the Boss banner. The Mettle 4X Mi-426 is a low budget Android gadget which is even cheaper than the 5X.
It connects to Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS and Bluetooth. As is expected of such smartphones these days, there are dual SIM slots under the hood. The front sports a 4″ touchscreen spitting out visuals in 800 x 480p resolution and there’s Android 4.2 onboard. The Smart Flo Mettle 4X runs on just 256MB RAM and a 1GHz dual core processor.
You can expect 512MB of internal memory. This is clearly going to fall short of storage needs, which is why the company has also embedded a microSD card slot for up to 32GB expandability.
