By launching the Spice cloud services in India, S Mobility has become the first homegrown company to have its very own storage outlet. Along with this, the OEM has also announced an all new smartphone dubbed Spice Stellar Virtuoso Pro which naturally offers access to the cloud.
This new storage product will be accessible through all internet-enabled phones as well as tablets manufactured by the conglomerate. As soon as users sign up for it, they will be offered 2GB of space, free of charge for hoarding their digital content. This should come in handy for synchronizing and backing up important data. One of its key highlights is that it allows users to retrieve their call logs too.
Needless to say, content saved on it can be accessed from anywhere at all and restored to the local device. Moreover, it will be possible for customers to locate their handheld gadgets and protect their data from prying eyes, thanks to its anti-theft features like secure locker. Users can even remotely lock their phones and tablets and wipe off all the data in case the gadgets are stolen or lost.
Coming to the specifications of the Spice Stellar Virtuoso Pro, the handset like most of its siblings belonging to this range makes the most of the Android OS, Jelly Bean 4.1 to be precise. Its front panel is fitted with a 4.5-inch multi-touch display which is accompanied by a 1.3MP camera for facilitating video conferencing while on the move.
As for the primary snapper, the phone boasts of a 5MP one featuring auto focus and video recording capability amongst others. The SRS audio-enabled gadget relies on a dual core processor which can clock in a maximum speed of 1GHz to ensure smooth multitasking at all times.
While the cloud service is available for free, the Stellar Virtuoso Pro will be made available in the country through retail channels and shopping portals for a price of Rs 7,999.
