SPB TV released for Palm webOS

SPB TV App Earlier we had reported about SPB launching its mobile TV for the iPhone and now it comes to the Palm webOS. The SPB TV is a freeware mobile IPTV viewer which allows users to tune into publicly available global digital TV channels.

The mobile TV presents exclusive and patent-pending innovations and allows users to view more than a hundred and twenty TV channels in more than 20 languages. Moreover, the application works in accordance with must-have TV features like TV browser for quick previews, TV guide for all accessible channels. It also allows on demand viewing of videos and has an adaptive network bandwidth control.

With the launch of SPB TV for webOS, SPB has expanded its reach from its current customer base of Android, BlackBerry, Windows and Symbian phone users to Palm phone users as well. Alongside the launch, SPB has also introduced a new line of TV 2.0 applications which are free for use.

The SPB TV for webOS can be configured with Palm Pre and Palm Pre Plus handsets operating on a firmware version 1.4 or higher. Palm Pixi and Palm Pixi Plus are expected to join the bandwagon following the availability of the 1.4.1 version for the same. Users can download the application from on-device AppCatalog without subscription or any additional fees. However, the application is ad-supported and plays ads only while buffering the stream.
