The Sony Xperia Z Ultra that claims to be the first 6.4-inch smartphone to render full HD resolution, has finally made its grand debut in the UK through carriers like O2 and Three. Interested users can find the device on sale at major online retailers like Clove, Phones 4u and Amazon UK amongst others.

The Xperia Z Ultra’s Triluminos touchscreen with X-Reality and mobile Bravia Engine 2 has a resolution of 1920 x 1080p and is compatible with pen stylus. You will find a 2MP webcam that can not only facilitate video conferencing, but also record 1080p videos. The dust- and water-resistant smartphone sports an 8MP lens on the rear panel with features like LED flash, auto focus, image stabilizer, touch focus, sweep panorama, image sensor, face detection, HDR, continuous burst mode and many more.

It is powered by the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and it hides a quad core Qualcomm processor ticking at 2.2GHz. 2GB of system memory strives to ensure smooth navigation and there’s 16GB internal storage for hoarding digital content. The built-in memory can be bumped up to 64GB with a little assistance from a microSD card. Moreover, the gadget can cough up the juice for talk time of around 16 hours and standby time of close to 820 hours on a single charge.

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra can be purchased via O2 with Refresh plans for a price ranging between £0 and £600, while it is up for grabs at £599.99 with Pay & Go. Three UK is offering it for as low as £99 with a two-year contract and qualifying data plans.
