Sony Xperia Z starts dying on users, company promises a solution

The Sony Xperia Z has been causing its users some grief by suddenly dying on them, without any forewarning. The occurrence seems to have no apparent reason whatsoever attached to it and has had quite a few consumers resorting to online media to register their problems.

Xperia Blog seemed to have stumble upon multiple complaints that were posted on a few forums citing these incidents. The grievances have been put up on AV Forums, Sony Mobile Talk and XDA Developers and they all state the same issue. What is perceivable at a glance is that most users assert that the smartphone gives the impression that nothing is wrong for a while and then seems to die abruptly.

Consumers then find it difficult to switch it back on and it has been observed that a hard restart, which involves pressing down the power and the volume up buttons together, has worked for some. However, even this action doesn’t seem to jolt other devices from their comatose state.

The absence of a fixed pattern for the reasons of this phenomenon is something that is probably puzzling users as well as the manufacturer. While some attribute it to the handset running low on juice, others have voiced that their smartphones had ample charge left.

Disgruntled customers should be gratified that the company took immediate notice of their problems and have even made an announcement on the official forum addressing the same. A spokesperson has posted that the maker has taken into account the complaints and has even zeroed in on the cause. It will soon be sending out an implementation for the solution through a software upgrade.

The manufacturer has apparently taken special care to ensure that the Sony Xperia Z is resistant to water and dust. Well, it looks like the issue in question had managed to escape its attention and has now emerged as well as escalated to quite a degree. Though the company has assured its customers of a quick fix, it also informs them that a release date for the same has not yet been determined.
