A day after hints suggested its imminent release, the Sony Xperia M5 Dual has been unveiled and is available now across India. It’s priced at Rs 37990 and can be purchased in black and gold colors.
The main attraction of the Sony Xperia M5 Dual is its 21.5MP main camera and 13MP selfie snapper. The former uses Hybrid Autofocus technology to take pictures within 0.25 seconds. It additionally comes with 5x image zoom, LED flash and 4K video recording. The latter is equipped with HDR and an Exmor RS sensor for clear photos even in low-light situations.
Sony has upped the durability of the smartphone with an IP65 and IP68 certification. This means the dual-SIM phone is dust-tight and waterproof. Moving on to its other specs, the device has a 5-inch 1080p display with stainless steel edges. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 2600mAh battery, which the company claims is supposed to last for up to 2 days.

Under the hood, the 4G-ready Xperia M5 Dual houses a 2GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It contains 16GB of internal space, further expandable till 200GB via a microSD card. Connectivity options consist of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, GLONASS, microUSB 2.0 and NFC.
