The Sony Vaio Duo 11 and Vaio Tap 20 release date details are out and slated for the end of next month. Both devices run on the Windows 8 platform, powered by 3rd generation Intel processors.

The Vaio Duo 11 slider Ultrabook dons an 11.6-inch OptiContrast panel that renders visuals with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The 3rd generation Intel Core processors employed here are backed by up to 8GB of DDR3L SDRAM operating at 1600MHz. Users can configure the device with an 128GB or 256GB SSD and employ the 2.1ch speakers with S-Fore Front Surround 3D for entertainment purposes.

The Vaio Tap 20 AIO features a 20-inch 10-point multi-touch 1600 x 900 Vaio Plus display and the Mobile Bravia Engine 2 for visual enhancements. With the same RAM as the above mentioned device, this one offers an HDD in capacities of 750GB or 1TB. There is also a set of stereo speakers which tag along the xLoud technology and a ClearAudio+ mode for an augmented sound quality.

Both devices provide a Memory Stick Duo cum SD memory card along with other common highlights including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, Ethernet, DLNA and USB 3.0. The company has even incorporated the NFC technology for extended connectivity. Each gadget comes with an HD webcam powered by Exmor for PC.

The Sony Vaio Duo 11 and Vaio Tap 20 price details are still under wraps. As mentioned above, their release date is slated to fall towards the end of October.
