Sony has unveiled a trio of cameras dubbed RX10, Alpha 7 and Alpha 7R in India and while the former is a bridge-style compact imager, the latter two are interchangeable lens shooters. The Cyber-shot RX10 carries a price tag of Rs 84,990, while the other two can be purchased for an amount that starts at Rs 94,900. They are slated to be made available in the country before the end of this year.
First up is the Sony Cyber-shot RX10, a portable device that boasts of Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T 24-200mm F2.8 lens, Optical SteadyShot for image stabilization, manual controls and much more. Apart from a 20.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensitive image sensor, it packs in the Bionz X processing engine that claims to be three times better than the Bionz processor. Direct Drive SSM mechanism, Lock-On AF, Eye AF, full HD video recording, an audio level meter are just some of the many features of the camera. It even has a 3-inch LCD on the rear side for composing ad previewing pictures.
The 24.3MP Alpha 7 and 36.4MP Alpha 7R are compatible with full-frame E-mount lenses and sport a tiltable 3-inch LCD screen. There are front and back dials as well as a control wheel for adjusting settings and these gadgets even bring an Exmor CMOS sensor. Just like the RX10, the two Alpha devices also make the most of the Bionz X processor and record full HD videos. Multiple customizable buttons and assignable functions are present apart from various creative modes and sought-after advanced features.
As we said, the Sony Cyber-shot RX10 costs 84,990, while the Alpha 7 and Alpha 7R are priced at Rs 94,900 and Rs 124,990, respectively. They will be made available through authorized dealers and Sony stores across India
