Sony Reader Android and iPhone app slated for December

Sony Reader App eReaders appear to have become an ongoing fad, with almost every other person wanting one. Several eReader manufacturers are trying to grab a bite of the mobile market by offering their own apps. Although Sony is a little late as major players in the eBook world have already made their moves, the company has now posted on its ReaderStore website that the Reader application for Android and iPhone will soon be unraveled.

Well, we really don’t know if this is going to actually boost any competition in either of the app domains. All the same, we move on with the application’s features. It brings along all the attributes that users could find in most of the eReader apps. The software offers an assortment of functionality like the ability to create notes, bookmarks and highlights as well as adjusting fonts according to the user’s comfort.

It allows handset owners to access the ReaderStore and all the eBooks they have previously purchased. What’s more, they can even pick up new eBooks which they like. The Sony Reader application for Android and iPhone will hit the stores by December.
