Sony Ericsson W901i MoboHere’s some really exciting news for Sony Ericsson fans. Sony Ericsson teams up with MOBO awards for limited edition W910i mobile. Well what should you expect? Some really good music with exclusive MOBO content on the W910i Walkman handset.

Sony Ericsson is a key sponsor at this year’s MOBO Awards Show. Starting 15th Oct 2008 at the Wembley Arena, Sony Ericsson holds the category sponsorship of the hotly contested ‘Best Radio DJ Award’. As part of the deal MOBO will provide exclusive content to support the launch of Sony Ericsson’s new special MOBO edition W910i Walkman handset. The device should be exclusively available at The Carphone Warehouse, in the run up to Christmas.

Kanya King MBE, MOBO founder, remarked about the partnership with Sony Ericsson, “Mobile is now de facto one of the preferred channels for music consumption amongst young people all over the world and we are absolutely delighted to have Sony Ericsson as a partner to help provide exciting MOBO content for their discerning customers as well as drive development of the mobile channel in supporting urban music in the UK.”

David Hilton, head of marketing at Sony Ericsson UK & Ireland , further added, “We’ve been heavily involved in the music industry since we launched our first Walkman handset back in 2005. The MOBO Awards Show is a fantastic property for us to align our market leading handsets with and we are confident that, with The Carphone Warehouse support, we can make the W910i a ‘must have’ stocking filler this Christmas.”

Dressed in luxe white and gold finish, the special MOBO edition W910i should come packed with most of its original features. Attributes that may be included comprehend a Walkman Player (version 3.0), TrackID, motion sensor, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, FM radio with RDS, quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE, HSDPA 2100 MHz connectivity, a 2.4 inch TFT display with 256K colors and a QVGA resolution, NetFront browser, email and IM, JAVA MIDP 2.0, a 2 MP camera with video recording, 40MB of internal memory and support for Memory Stick Micro cards.

Sure to cost more than the original phone, the price of new version of the W910i handset is yet unknown.
