With advancing technology communicating with people across the globe is no longer a task. Verizon Wireless shares that Skype mobile, which is at present available with 12 different smartphones, will now expand to more 3G smartphones, later this year.
Currently including Spanish, adding up to the list of languages, the app is now available in Korean and simple Chinese. It offers the flexibility to communicate and also makes it simpler for users around the world to communicate.
Jennifer Byrne, executive director of business development, Verizon Wireless, added “Skype mobile from Verizon Wireless not only takes advantage of the reliability and breadth of our wireless network, but it’s also proving to be a great option for military families with loved ones stationed overseas, people with relatives in Asia or South America, and businesses with a global presence. And, with the World Cup starting soon, there’s no better way to talk or chat about the action with far-flung fans and family than Skype mobile.”
Calls and chats are unlimited as well as free for those with Skype mobile using the Verizon Wireless 3G smartphone. It also connects customers to more than 580 million Skype users anywhere in the world. The call from Verizon Wireless network offers users superior call quality even with traditional voice products, including Bluetooth headsets. Calls to international numbers from Skype mobile are charged low, international rates while calls made to domestic landline and wireless numbers use minutes from customers’ voice plans.
Customers with selected BlackBerry smartphones will be able to download the app from Skype’s website by using their phone browsers. Those customers with Droid smartphones can download the app from the Verizon Channel in Android Market. Customers can also type ‘SKYPE’ and send it to 2255 in order to get a message with a link to download Skype mobile.
