Skype Mobile app gets upgraded for Verizon’s Droid and BlackBerry devices

Skype Mobile App Verizon Wireless had introduced the Skype Mobile application for its customers last month. The Skype Mobile blog has now divulged information about its improved and updated app for Verizon clients possessing the Droid or any of the BlackBerry devices. This new update brings along with a slew of support options for functions used on a day-to-day basis.

It now displays Skype contact names when they call with the help of incoming caller ID. Moreover, mobile buffs can copy and paste directly to or from their IM conversations. The app also proffers Emoticon support to IM. Users can now see the country flags and names while dialing international numbers. What’s more, this upgraded software allows users to set their location as their mood message.

With all these new features, using Skype on handsets should become easier and fun. Additionally, the application can now be used when Wi-Fi is switched on. Calls and IM are supported via Verizon Wireless. The updated Skype Mobile app can be downloaded from the Skype website.
