Android-run phones are making their presence felt in the market now and again. Sky is set to start officially marketing the Sirius smartphone that uses the Android 2.1 OS and comes powered by a 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with their ‘Androian Campaign’.

The device flaunts a 3.7” AMOLED screen that offers 800 x 480p resolutions. It features an SNS Manager function that enables users to write and send messages on one screen through SNS. Sky Style optimizes user accessibility to frequently used applications or APs like telephone book and messaging among others. This Flash-capable handset has 500MB on-board memory and 8GB of basic memory that is expandable by up to 32GB.

“We expect that Sky’s ‘Androian campaign’ will create sensational reactions, especially among the young consumer basis, with its unique and creative emotions. Through this campaign, SKY will become a ‘Creator of culture’ leading the age of the smartphone,” explained Lee Yong-jun, executive director of Division of Domestic Smartphone Marketing, Sky.

The Sirius delivers other APs like Androier, Map-Finder and Making appointments. It integrates a 5MP camera with AF and connectivity options come in the form of Wi-Fi as well as an HDMI terminal for connecting it to a TV. There’s no need for file conversions since the device supports DivX formatted content.

Online pre-sales reservation of Sky’s Sirius will commence from April 20, 2010, with official sales starting from next month. The phone will be drenched in shades of rose, white, gold and titan. The company’s ‘Androian Campaign’ for the handset is designed under the theme ‘Borrowing the power of the universe’.
