LG designing P950 Android phone?

LG XML File

LG is yet to reveal a P series phone, so this tidbit could actually concern the company’s very first such model. The LG Central blog has publicized an XML file that indicates an LG P950 handset running Android.

There are hardly enough details about the handset that would satisfy the perennial mobile phone enthusiast. All that can be deduced from this file are the facts that the P950 will run Google’s Android OS and feature a screen that reproduces visuals in 800 x 480p resolutions.

So that’s a WVGA display and Android WebKit browser for the LG phone. Speculations suggest that the device could have integrated HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity and be a high-end model. It also appears to be slated for a launch across the US and European markets since those headed for Korea usually have characteristic model numbers.

LG has not stepped in to confirm the rumors or give an official nod to this news as yet. Hopefully, they’ll come clean before unconfirmed specifications about the P950 start emerging.
