The original extended battery for the Palm Pre offered double the capacity of the standard 1150mAh pack that arrives with the smartphone. However, it also added considerable bulk to the Palm Pre.
According to Slashgear, Seidio has developed another alternative to the existing battery called the Seidio Innocell 1,350mAh. This new version offers around 20 percent more capacity without adding any more weight to the Palm Pre smartphone.
The new Seidio 1500mAh battery can enhance the Palm Pre’s usability without adding extra weight because it is the same size as the original battery pack. Therefore, users don’t need a replacement battery cover. Users can also use the special Touchstone battery door with the new pack.
The new battery will give users anywhere between 7.25 to 9.5 hours of Pre usage time.
