Samsung is planning to introduce yet another touchscreen handset in China within a few weeks. According to Ubergizmo, the Samsung W799 incorporates Samsung’s conventional TouchWiz user interface.
The Samsung handset boasts of a huge 3-inch internal touchscreen display with WQVGA resolution. The W799 sports a clamshell form factor. The touchscreen device is equipped with a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with flash.
The W799 comes with an average 300MB of internal memory. However, it features a microSD memory card slot to hoard more multimedia files. Some of the other functionalities of this device include handwriting input, TV-out, DivX, an integrated FM radio, GPS navigation and even office docs support. Apparently, the clamshell is equipped with secondary video camera for video calls. As far as the connectivity features are concerned, the tri-band GSM touchscreen handset supports Bluetooth as well as 3G CDMA2000.
The pricing and availability details of the Samsung W799 handset are not yet made official. Even the details of the network carrier introducing this touchscreen device is not known.
