Samsung to release Corby II shortly

Samsung Corby II Samsung’s first generation of Corby handsets seems to have gained a fairly strong following in mobile markets across a lot of countries. The company has sought to raise its feature phone bar by announcing the upcoming Samsung Corby II mobile phone.

Staying true to Corby’s youthful appeal, its successor will be seen sporting colorful designs including candy pink, carnival yellow and white hues. According to the official Samsung Electronics Taiwan page, it boasts of a 3.1” QVGA TFT touchscreen display along with an interactive TouchWiz UI.

Social networking buffs will be able to keep themselves in the loop with the preloaded Facebook and Twitter apps and Social Hub feature. The mobile device also offers interesting attributes like Exchange ActiveSync, Dolphin 2.0 browser, t9 QuickType input, mobile phone tracking and more.

The connectivity options presented are Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Wi Fi 802.11b/g/n. The phone will run on a 1,000mAh battery that supports talk time of approximately 9.5 hours and standby time of around 620 hours. Other basic features included are RDS FM radio, voice recorder and 16GB expandable memory amongst others.

The Samsung Corby II will be rolled out in Germany by the end of this month and then followed by its launch across Europe, India, Asia, Latin America, China, CIS, Africa and Middle East.
