Apple serves up new features through iOS 4.3 software update

Apple iOS 4.3 UpdateIt seems like handset owners can now smell the delicious aroma of apple pie looming all around the mobile terrain. Earlier this month, we reported that the iOS 4.3 update would roll out on March 11, 2011. Now as spotted on the official Apple support page, it appears that the much-awaited iOS 4.3 software update has popped out two days earlier than expected. With the unveiling of this offering, Apple enthusiasts can avail of new features and improvements.

Through the update, iPhone 4 cellular data connection can be shared with up to 5 devices which is a combination of up to 3 Bluetooth, 3 Wi-Fi and 1 USB. iTunes Home Sharing is also available allowing owners to play music, TV shows and movies plucked from a shared iTunes library on PC or Mac. New AirPlay attributes are seen unfurling via the latest upgrade. Videos from the Photos app such as iTunes previews, Camera Roll album, websites on Apple TV and third-party apps can be played with ease. Users are also able to enjoy slideshows from Photos on Apple TV.

A faster Safari performance is obtained through this update with Apple Nitro JavaScript engine. Via the Apple Digital AV Adapter, handset owners can view 720p HD videos such as YouTube, Photos, iPod app and Videos app directly on an HDMI display. Ping features like Parental controls, Push notifications for follow requests and comments are also available with the upgrade. Apart from the above mentioned attributes, new settings open for mobile users. These include Messages setting that enables users to set the number of times an alert should be repeated. It also allows single tap conference call dialing complete with the ability to pause for sending across a passcode.

Tackling bug fixes and providing a host of features, the Apple iOS 4.3 software update is now available through iTunes.
