Users who like to keep their things snazzy and jazzy may sound pleased as punch with this piece of information. Bringing a sense of elan, Sprint and Samsung have recently shed some light on a brand-new compact messaging phone, the Samsung Seek. Designed to fall light on one’s pocket, the mesmeric device sports a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard, intuitive touchscreen and support for Sprint’s 3G network.

With this new offering, Samsung and Sprint have taken a step towards a greener environment. The packaging of the Seek can be recycled to be utilized to ship old wireless phones, batteries, accessories and data cards. Users going in for the Cool Blue or Fantasy Pink Samsung Seek can use the label and box to repackage their old equipment for recycling in less than a minute and at absolutely no charge.

“Sprint is committed to environmental sustainability and product responsibility,” remarked Kevin Packingham, Sprint senior vice president-Product Development. “Each time customers use the postage-paid mailing label with the box to recycle an old device, they are helping keep electronic and packaging waste out of landfills and support Internet safety for kids. All net proceeds from the sale of recycled equipment collected will be used to fund and promote 4NetSafety, a charitable program of Sprint Project Connect.”

Apart from its green aspect, the Seek pops up with a slew of cool and convenient messaging features such as threaded text messaging, picture messaging, instant messaging and quick shortcuts to popular social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. Multitasking has also been made simpler.

Those who like anything rhythmic can listen to their favorite tunes while surfing the Web, playing games or checking e-mail. Some other noticeable attributes include 1.3 megapixel camera, expandable memory with microSD card (up to 32GB) and Sprint Family Locator.

Sprint’s $69.99 per month Everything Data 450 plan with Any Mobile, Anytime can be used with the Seek. The plan offers unlimited nationwide calling to or from any U.S. wireless phone, unlimited text and picture messaging, unlimited Web, e-mail and social networking, and unlimited GPS navigation.

Users can snap up the Samsung Seek in Cool Blue and Scarlet Red through all Sprint retail channels, online and also Telesales for $29.99 with a new two-year service agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. The Fantasy Pink will be up for grabs starting June 6.
