The Samsung REX 90, 80, 70 and 60 price in India has been declared at their global launch event which took place in the country, and all the four devices can be expected to hit the market soon, tagged between Rs. 4280 and Rs. 6490. Describing them as smart feature phones, the South Korean giant has pushed them out, equipped with traits that include full-touch displays, dual SIM attributes, Wi-Fi (only with two models) and more.
The Rex series of phones has been developed in this nation itself, and is ready to be shipped into other emerging markets across the globe, reveals the OEM. J.K Shin, who’s the president and head of the IT and mobile communications division at the company, has mentioned that these phones have been designed to ‘seamlessly prioritize and consolidate’ necessary mobile functions that are utilized by customers across diverse markets.
They kick in the Touchwiz user interface which grants them a smooth experience. Moreover, an option of having up to 8 homescreens is also enabled by the feature. And there’s even an Android-like quickpanel which can be brought down to access traits like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, text messages and more.
Coming to the individual devices, we first have the flag-bearer of the series, the 90 model. A 3.5-inch capacitive HVGA display makes its way into the handset along with Wi-Fi, a 3.2MP camera and a battery which is able to provide it with juice for up to 15 hours of talktime. The 80 variant on the other hand, carries a 3-inch capacitive QVGA screen, Wi-Fi, a 3MP camera and 14.7 hours of battery life.
And then there’s the 70 version which features the same 3-inch screen, but packs in a 2MP snapper and a talktime of 13 hours. Last among the four is the entry-level 60 model which sports a 2.8-inch responsive QVGA display, and grabs other basic traits such as a 1.3MP camera. Rounding it up, the 90 and 80 models comprise Wi-Fi, but the 60 and 70 variants don’t.
The range within which the Samsung REX 90, 80, 70 and 60 phones will retail has been set in between Rs. 4280 and Rs. 6490. Their exact release date details are unknown as of now, but potential buyers can expect them to arrive within a few days.
