Samsung announces the launch of its first open market CDMA handset in India called Samsung Max. Samsung Max is made available to Reliance Mobile and Tata Indicom subscribers.
Samsung Max offers a 1.9 inch LCD screen with 262 TFT, 1.3 Mega-pixel camera and an expandable memory, integrated FM radio and voice recorder.
The other features of Samsung Max are it is a slider type phone which has an Indian calendar, a panchang, Cricket scorer, Hinglish SMS, Mobile Tracker, Mobile Prayer and also has SOS alert.
Samsung Max also has Bluetooth connectivity and R-UIM card supporter.
At present the Samsung Max handset is available only in Delhi and Mumbai at a cost of Rs.7,500. However, by the end of December they would make the handsets available even in other cities of India
