Making an early entry The Samsung U940 popularly known as Samsung Glyde will be launched via Verizon Wireless on 9 May, reports Engadget Mobile.All the rumours, talks, leaked pictures finally come to an end. Let’s see how far this holds true? Based on the amazing Samsung F700, Glyde was earlier to be launched in the latter part of the year.
Samsung Glyde features a 2 megapixel camera, its HSDPA connectivity delivers upto 7.6 Mbps, 2.87-inch colour touchscreen, a smart QWERTY slide phone. Samsung Glyde is being compared to LG Voyager as both are touchscreen phones. Another similarity between the two phones is their QWERTY keyboard. But as the name suggests Samsung Glyde slides which is not in case of Voyager’s clamshell.
You can get a Samsung Glyde at $299 with a two-year contract. In case you don’t want the contract then get ready to shell out $420. You can pick your Samsung Glyde from any of the Verizon retail stores.
