HTC Touch Diamond Phone making its way this week

HTC Diamond logo HTC is said to be making an announcement regarding its Touch Diamond phone this week. If the leaked images and specs by newsmobile.it are to be believed then they definitely have something big to show. Though, initially it will be a quad-band GSM phone with 7.2 Mbps HSPA, HTC will come up with a CDMA version with EV-DO Rev. A later.

This 3G Windows Mobile smartphone is a successor to the HTC Touch and is surely a competition to the smartphone industry. This sleek phone with 128 MB of RAM has Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro on a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor. It is also said to have included an updated version of its finger tip oriented application launcher called TouchFlo.

It’s said to have an eGPS which is essentially just like GPS but somewhere way better. An eGPS is available within 4 seconds and is accurate to 10 meters. Some of the device’s features are 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, Win Mo 6.1 Pro, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, eGPS, FM tuner, Quad-band HSDPA 7.2, 4GB internal storage, microSD slot, 528 MHz CPU, 3.1 megapixel camera, 900 mAh battery. It’s also supposed to feature an orientation sensor/ accelerometer.

The Touch Diamond mobile phone’s price and availability will be known only after its official launch.
