The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom, a smartphone featuring an advanced camera has been unveiled at an official launch event held in India along with its sibling, the mini. Samsung claims that the device brings enhanced photographic capabilities along with features found in the company’s latest flagship phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom is adorned with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen capable of reproducing visuals in 960 x 540p resolution. The key highlight of the handset is a 16MP rear-facing snapper replete with a BSI CMOS sensor, LED flash, 10x magnification, optical image stabilization, Smart Modes and a full HD video recorder amongst others. Apart from this, there’s a 1.9MP webcam which, needless to mention, can be used for capturing self-portraits or making video calls over Wi-Fi or 3G.
Operating with the assistance of a dual core processor sprinting at a speed of 1.5GHz, the Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom attributes its intuitive interface and the ability to make smooth transitions between applications to the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 platform. Prospective users will also find a horde of apps such as S Voice, S Translator, ChatOn as well as some Google mobile services already installed on the smartphone.
Its chassis measuring 125.5 x 63.5 x 15.4 millimeters, tips the scales at 208 grams when weighed along with the battery. This 2,330mAh power pack can be expected to keep the device going for an entire day. Coming to its memory, the handset has 1.5GB of RAM and brings 8GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot for increasing it further by up to 64GB.
The Galaxy S4 zoom has entered the subcontinent with a price tag of Rs 29,900 and comes packaged along with a complimentary flip cover. It even offers free 2GB 3G data usage to Reliance customers for a span of three months.
