After the tremendous success of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, the South Korean giant is seemingly skipping the Galaxy S22 FE and going straight to the Galaxy S23 FE. This ‘Fan Edition’ is apparently set to arrive sometime this September, according to a new leak.

Tipster Yogesh Brar has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to share new details about this phone, including its purported specs. According to his post, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will ship with a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

It is expected to either be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip or Samsung’s very own Exynos 2200 SoC. It’s possible that the phone will adopt different chipsets depending on what part of the world it’s being sold in.

As for the imaging setup of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, it’s said to carry a triple camera array, with the main camera being a 50MP unit with OIS.

The setup might also include an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP telephoto lens. Selfies will apparently be taken care of by a 10MP snapper.

Coming to the battery, Samsung could grant the device a 4500mAh power pack that will feature 25W fast charging. In addition, wireless charging is also expected to be supported by the handset.

Samsung could launch the phone with Android 13 and One UI 5.1. Further, four years of software updates and 5 years of security updates could well be supported. This isn’t a surprise, given that the company’s affordable phones have also been getting the same promise lately.

September is also the month when the iPhone 15 models will be launched and the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE could be looking to compete with the base iPhone 15 or the legacy iPhone 14 models amid the rush.
