Samsung Galaxy Note 3 price slashed, now costs Rs 47,900

It looks like Samsung is making an effort to attract users towards the Galaxy Note 3 in the festive season, considering that the company has slashed the price of its newest phablet by Rs 2000. The gadget that was launched about a month ago for Rs 49,900, can now be purchased for Rs 47,900.

Apart from the festive season, another reason why the South Korean company may have reduced the phone’s rates could be users’ interest in cheaper devices manufactured by the homegrown OEMs. Micromax is already giving tough competition to Samsung in the smartphone segment in India and the latter may just be trying to make sure it doesn’t lose its upper hand in the nation.

And that’s not enough, the conglomerate’s arch rival, Apple has also geared up for the next phase of iPhone launches and India is one of the country where the new handsets will be launched on November 1. By reducing the price of the Note 3, about a week prior to the release date of the iPhone 5S and 5C, Samsung wants to turn all the attention towards its device.

Some of the other offers that are also available with Samsung devices are 10 percent cashback on select credit cards and EMI options. Those opting for the latter can determine the number of months for which they wish to pay the monthly installments. This could be either 3 months or 6 months.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is now available through the official eStore for a price of Rs 47,900. E-retailers like Flipkart, Snapdeal and Infibeam are selling it for Rs 46,899, Rs 46,347 and Rs 46,800, respectively.
