The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has officially been unpacked at the event held in Berlin, just ahead of the IFA and it brings the Galaxy Gear smartwatch along. Based on Android 4.3, the third generation Note phablet offers a multi-touch real estate of 5.7 inches and will be available in variants with either quad core or octa core processor. As for the wearable accessory, it acts as a perfect companion for Galaxy smartphones and displays all of the notifications such as incoming calls, messages, mails and more.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 employs either a 2.3GHz quad core processor or a 1.9GHz octa core chipset along with 3GB of RAM. It will feature 32GB or 64GB onboard memory which is further expandable by up to 64GB. This smartphone’s Super AMOLED touchscreen projects 1920 x 1080p resolution and is accompanied by a 2MP webcam and a 13MP camera. This 4G LTE-based device draws power from a 3200mAh lithium-ion battery.

Let’s take a look at the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Featuring 2 noise cancellation microphones and a speaker, the accessory sports a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen and a 1.9MP camera. It has Bluetooth, an accelerometer and a gyroscope and runs with the assistance of an 800MHz processor and 512MB of RAM. There’s 4GB of internal memory and it conceals a 315mAh lithium-ion battery. Also, the wearable gadget is compatible with most Samsung applications including ChatOn Messenger and is pre-loaded with a horde of apps.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be made available from September 25 onwards in more than 140 countries. The phablet will hit US through the major carriers before the end of this year.
