Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 gets drenched in purple

Just like the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S3 before it, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is also set to receive a color update. A purple hued model has been spotted on the company’s Hong Kong website, and possibilities are rife that this version will make its way into other markets as well. Nothing including the price changes for this version, as it’s just a new color option.

Following a gamut of leaks that had already given away its existence beforehand, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 was revealed back in April this year. Staying true to its name, it carries on its front a 6.3-inch Super Clear LCD which throws its visuals out with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device runs on a 1.7GHz dual core processor, and it gains assistance in the performance department from 1.5GB worth of RAM.

The imaging options of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 are highlighted by an 8MP rear snapper accompanying which is an LED flash. A 2MP front camera has been thrown into the mix as well. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is of course the preferred OS. Samsung has blessed this smartphone with a 3,200mAh battery which makes it possible for it to provide up to 17 hours of talktime.

There’s no word out at the moment about a possible India release of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, but we can keep our fingers crossed. Stay tuned for more news on the same.
