Samsung Galaxy Gear to soon be compatible with Galaxy S4, S3, Note 2 and more

While releasing the Galaxy Gear, Samsung had clearly mentioned that it will roll out updates for devices like the Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 amongst others to bestow them with the capability of supporting the smartwatch. And owners of these gadgets will be glad to know that the South Korean company is determined to keep its promise.

The Gear was introduced as a companion for the Galaxy Note 3 and on launch, the wearable device was only compatible with this phablet. It can work in tandem with devices that have Android 4.3 installed on them and thus Samsung has accelerated the process of bringing this version of Jelly Bean to some of its previously-released handsets. Apart from the said phablet, the smartwatch is also compatible with the Note 10.1 2014 edition.
