Samsung India recently launched its SUHD TV range powered by the would-be Android rival we know as the Tizen OS. Entertainment buffs have two screen sizes to choose from covering 65-inch (165.1 centimeters) and 55-inch (139.7 centimeters) displays. The panel is curved and enhanced with nano-crystal semiconductors for upping the quality of visuals spewed out by it.
If it makes you feel any better, the nano-crystal technology is supposed to be eco-friendly. Samsung claims that the display of its SUHD TV can offer 64 times more color expression than a regular television screen. It is also said to be 2.5 times brighter and deliver 10 times better contrast as compared to other TVs. The curved design is a bonus point for those hate how reflections spoil the viewing experience on flat panels.
But the curved nature of the screen comes with some disadvantages such as a high price and distortions from certain angles. For those who think the pros greatly outmatch the cons, and are willing to have their wallets set alight, the Samsung SUHD is probably not a bad option. The display works on LED-backlit LCD technology, with the resolution being 4K, or 3840 x 2160 pixels.

The bezel features a chamfered design and the overall appearance is clean and minimalistic. The Samsung Smart Hub which lets users connect to the Internet to download apps or stream content, has been updated to be more responsive. There’s also a Briefing on TV function for linking your smartphone’s alarm system to the TV so that you wake up to information on the time, weather and your Google Calendar events.

Each of the newly introduced products in Samsung’s new SUHV TV lineup costs more than a Tata Nano car, which is saying something. The 65-inch TV will set you back by Rs 440900, while the 55-inch model carries a tag of Rs 314900.
