Samsung B5100, new Symbian smartphone coming soon

Samsung B5100 smartphoneSamsung had previously launched smartphones like Samsung a167 Windows Mobile smartphone which packs in Instant Messaging capabilities like AOL, Windows Live and Yahoo! Messenger, Samsung B7300 Windows Mobile smartphone which possesses a Windows Mobile operating system and TouchWiz user interface and Samsung i7110 smartphone which features a 2.6″ AMOLED screen. Now following this slew of smartphones, the Samsung B5100 smartphone is going to be launched soon. This unannounced candybar phone will form part of the line-up of Samsung’s Symbian S60-powered smartphones.

This phone sports a metallic case and a form-factor that is quite similar to the i7110 model, which also runs on Symbian S60. Feature-wise it has a QVGA display, a 3 megapixel camera with LED flash for clear images and DivX playback support. It also possesses WiFi, GPS navigation and Bluetooth for easy transfer of files. Additionally it has USB 2.0 and HSDPA connectivity.

There is no information about pricing and availability. However the Samsung B5100 smartphone should be more affordable than the pricey i7110 which sells for about €499.
