The Samsung Ativ Smart PC 500T and Ativ Smart PC Pro 700T are here along with their price details, right in time for the holiday season. And like we all know, both devices are based on Microsoft’s latest Windows 8 platform.
First up is the Samsung Ativ Smart PC 500T. A member of the company’s Series 5 line, it flaunts an 11.6-inch LED HD 1366 x 768 pixel touch panel with Super Bright Plus technology. The slate makes room for a 1.5GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a 64GB SSD to hoard content.
If the built-in storage isn’t sufficient, users can always further expand it through the embedded microSD card slot. A 2-cell Li-poly battery also finds place amongst the rest of the specifications to juice up the tablet in question.
Next in line is the Series 7Pro 700T slate. It too dons an 11.6-inch LED full HD display that comes with the same Super Bright enhancement as the above mentioned Samsung device.
Backed by a 3rd generation Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, the slab packs in 4GB of DDR3 RAM for efficient multitasking. A 128GB SSD, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and a microHDMI port are included as well. Under the hood, a 4-cell Li-poly battery juices up the slab.
The Samsung Ativ Smart PC 500T will be available at a price of $749.99, while the Ativ Smart PC Pro 700T will hit stores at $1,199.99. Their release date has been scheduled for October 26.
