Samsung and T-Mobile launch the new Android-powered Samsung Behold II. The phone has an amazing full-touch screen and integrates the open and innovative Android platform from Open Handset Alliance along with Samsung’s next generation TouchWiz user interface and T-Mobile’s high-speed 3G network. Thus, brings to users an exceptional experience.

It claims to be the first phone from T-Mobile to equip a 3.2-inch Amoled screen offering high quality crystal display and wider viewing angles. The phone comes with a 5MP camera that features autofocus, flash, five shooting modes and video capabilities. It also offers visual voicemail allowing users to listen to voicemails according to their preference.

“We’re excited to announce Samsung’s first Android-powered device with T-Mobile in the U.S.,” said Omar Khan, senior vice president of strategy and product management for Samsung Mobile. “The Behold II follows the success of the Behold that launched last year taking the device and user experience to the next level with the Android platform, a large 3.2-inch AMOLED screen, next generation TouchWiz user interface and customization capabilities and premium features.”

The magnificent handset boasts of its innovative TouchWiz user interface offering easier customization with widgets that are located in a slide-out tray on the left side of the screen. These widgets offers one-touch access to the users much liked features and apps. The Behold II comes with three different homescreens that allow easy drag and drop of widgets. With widgets and application shortcuts, users can easily manage different workspaces. The phone incorporates top six multimedia features that include music, photos, videos, Web, YouTube and Amazon MP3 that are easily accessible with the cube menu display.

“T-Mobile continues to expand our line-up of Android-powered phones in time for the holiday season with the addition of the Samsung Behold II,” said Travis Warren, director, product marketing, T-Mobile USA. “The premium screen and quality camera coupled with Samsung’s innovative cube menu makes the Behold II a multimedia powerhouse that’s made even stronger by T-Mobile’s high-speed 3G network.”

The phone permits easy access to built-in services like Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk. Several games and applications can be downloaded from the Android Market. As far as the connectivity features are concerned, the phone supports WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1 along with personal and corporate emailing with Exchange Active Sync. The phone comes with MP3 player and supports 16GB external memory and instant text, picture and video messaging.

The Behold II exclusively from T-Mobile is scheduled to reach the markets before holidays. There is no official word on its pricing details.
