Digg to release an iPhone App?

Apple iPhone The latest buzz on the Internet is about a new iPhone App to be launched by Digg, reports ReadWriteWeb. Reportedly, Kevin Rose, the co-founder of Digg, himself unknowingly tipped off two bloggers interviewing him about the app.

Reportedly, the somewhat unintentional Kevin Rose was caught fidgeting with an app by two keen-eyed blogger namely Arnt Eriksen and Thomas Moen. When quizzed about it, he replied that he wasn’t supposed to show the app to them nor were they supposed to know about it. But later on he unknowingly allowed them to keep the comment on their podcast.

This Digg app would supposedly make social bookmarking a lot simpler for smartphone users. This new app will represent the company’s first major mobile offering after the restoring of the Digg mobile site in July last year. It is speculated that apps for other mobile devices will be made available in the months to come.

Well, reality or rumor. But we are surely looking forward to the release of this new iPhone app from Digg.
