AT&T and Samsung have announced a new rugged device called the Samsung A657 phone. This phone is compliant with the US Military Standard specifications for resistance against shock, moisture, temperatures and other harsh conditions.
With tough exteriors, the Samsung A657 phone is apt for individuals who spend most of their time outdoors. The Samsung A657 sports a display with 176 x 220 resolution and comes with a built-in flashlight. It supports quad band GSM and dual band HSDPA connectivity.
Measuring 4.53 x 2.05 x 0.77 inches, the A657 phone is compatible with workforce management tools like Xora GPS TimeTrack and TeleNAV Track. This phone also supports AT&T Navigator that provides turn-by-turn directions, maps and traffic alerts.
It also features MP3 music player, XM Radio, MusicID, 100 MB of internal memory that can be expanded upto 16GB.The A657 phone also supports Mobile Email and Mobile Instant Messaging that will keep you connected to your loved ones. This rugged mobile phone offers a talktime of upto 3 hours and a standby time of upto 10.5 days.
