RIM ties up with Redington India for BlackBerry Retail Distribution

RIM Redington India Research In Motion has partnered with Redington India to set up the national retail distribution channels for BlackBerry smart phones.

Through this alliance, RIM will strengthen its market position as well as increase the availability of BlackBerry smart phones across India.

Rajesh Khetarpal, Head-Digital Life Style & Telecom SBU, Redington India comments, “Redington has always believed in forging relationships that deliver value to end customers. Through this collaboration, Research In Motion will leverage our professional services and pan-India reach to increase the availability of BlackBerry smart phones across the country.”

The agreement makes sure that the current BlackBerry smartphones and service plans will be available via retail and modern trade outlets in nine cities including Mumbai, Delhi, NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad.

There are even further plans to increase the retail supply of BlackBerry smartphones, which will increase the availability of the BlackBerry Pearl series, BlackBerry Curve series and BlackBerry Bold smartphones across India.
