BlackBerry App World

BlackBerry App World version 1.1 was launched recently by RIM according to Gizmodo. The changes made in this version are not very major. However, they are beneficial nevertheless, as apps can now be segregated according to free, paid, and other criteria. They can further be archived onto either internal or external memory.

Previously, BlackBerry users had no choice but to store their apps on the internal memory which was frequently inadequate. Now, the App World 1.1 update enables users to archive apps on SD cards which possess much more memory. Users still cannot run apps from the internal memory. However, they can store them there until they are required.

The other change to the App World is that the sorting methods have been improved. Now, users can survey the App World by paid or free apps or other criteria like popularity, pricing, rating, developer and more. One can’t help thinking that this basic feature should have arrived with the debut of the App World.

Additionally, the App World is going to launch in more countries including France, Italy, Austria, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg and Portugal.
