Reliance has added to its list of mid-range Captain Planet inspired smartphones with the Lyf Wind 6 and Lyf Flame 1. Now we’re just waiting for the Lyf Heart phone. OK, so the series is not officially inspired from the popular cartoon of the 1990s. But the company’s got Earth, Fire, Wind and Water (cue Captain Planet theme song) covered already. Might as well as add the fifth element.
As for the two latest launches, the Lyf Wind 6 and Lyf Flame 1, they’re priced way lower than the Lyf Earth 1, Water 1 and Water 2. The three are currently selling for Rs 23990, Rs 14999 and Rs 14690, respectively. The Lyf Wind 6 is pegged at Rs 7090 and the Lyf Flame 1 can be bought for Rs 6490. The former is available in the color white, while the latter can be picked up in black, white or red.

The Android Lollipop-powered Wind 6 has a 5-inch 854 x 480p display, 1GB RAM, up to 40GB storage (8GB internal), a 1.1GHz quad core Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 processor, dual SIM slots, two 5MP cameras with flash for the rear lens, 4G support and a 2250mAh battery. In terms of appearance, the device looks like a generic budget-friendly Android smartphone and nothing more than that.
Reliance Lyf Flame 1 specifications:
The Lyf Flame 1 is similarly unremarkable with regards to its facade. It features the Android Lollipop 5.1 OS, 4G connectivity, a 4.5-inch 854 x 480p touchscreen, a quad core 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 processor, 1GB RAM, 32GB expandable memory, 8GB ROM, a 5MP main camera with flash, a 5MP front-facing snapper, dual SIM support and a 2000mAh battery.
