The Android Market now receives one more innovative app in the form of Qype Radar, a location aware mobile application. According to the official Qype Blog, the latest iteration of the application packages a suite of new features including the availability of special offers, a refurbished interface, reviews from Italy and real time updating.
With I’m Here tool, Android users can broadcast their location in real time by means of email or social networking applications such as Twitter and Facebook. The I’m Here message is inclusive of a link to the place data on Qype, enabling recipients to view reviews, address details, phone number and a map.
Stephan Uhrenbacher, founder and chairman of Qype, explained, “Radar’s real time updating combines a sharing and social component with a very practical approach. It allows users to not only track where they’ve been, but to also broadcast their location on the go, along with a wealth of information such as the Qype reviews. It makes meeting up with people that much easier.”
The latest version of Qype Radar also features Qype vouchers facilitating users to avail exclusive discounts and special offers while on the go. Further, the app also incorporates reviews from Qype Italy.
The new version of Qype Radar is now available for Android handsets. Apparently, the app is also made available via the Apple App Store.
