Printing documents directly from a mobile device is not new to the markets. BlackBerry users can print directly from the smartphone through the new application BreezyPrint launched by Accipiter Innovations.
The application allows users to print documents directly from the handset without going through hassles of using a computer to do the same. The creator of the application, Lawyer Jared Hansen says that the application was conceived through personal experiences. Hansen wanted to escape the technical hoops and print documents directly from his BlackBerry.
Hansen expressed his emotions on the launch of the application by saying that, “We’re very excited to bring this product to market. BreezyPrint is unlike anything in the market right now in terms of security, versatility and simplicity, so we’re glad to finally have an opportunity to show it off.”
BreezyPrint has focused extensively on the security aspect of the application. Hansen adds that, “Everything you print with BreezyPrint is encrypted in transit, so that not even BreezyPrint staff can access our users’ documents. The whole system was engineered from the ground up to be secure enough for the enterprise, without sacrificing simplicity or ease of use.”
Users can print documents from any printer that has been configured with the service. The process has been designed in such a way that the physical presence of the user and the printer does not matter. Moreover, users need not worry about the firewall settings or any other setups. The application runs on a patent-pending method that uses a centralized server to direct traffic from the user’s BlackBerry to the chosen printer.
The application can be availed online by logging onto breezyprint.com. Users will have to wait a little longer until the application becomes available on the BlackBerry App World. BreezyPrint will also be accessible on the iPhone and Android devices in near future.
