USPS Service The United States Postal Service has entered the mobile world by means of an innovative mobile site m.usps.com. The website virtually brings the Post Office to the user’s handset.

Several postal services are now made available, which the users can access via their mobile phones. Some of the innovative features include Track & Confirm, Post Office locator, and the renowned application, ZIP Code lookup.

“Our new mobile capability makes USPS services even more convenient for our customers,” stated Robert Bernstock, president, Mailing and Shipping Services.

“If they’re on the road, they’ll be able to use the Post Office locator function to find a Post Office that’s close to them. And they’ll also be able to track and confirm delivery of their mail or packages using their mobile phone,” he continued.

The Postal Service mobile site can be accessed by any mobile user with web access. These mobile applications aim to simply the user’s interactions and business transactions with the Postal Service.

The postal services are also developing applications for smartphones and other mobile phones like the Apple iPhone, BlackBerry and iPod Touch which explores GPS capabilities.
